Room was quite nice and breakfast was of a good standard

Dinner was a disaster no vegetables, service poor, main course poor, ran out of ice cream.

    Good

The Kensington is an average b&b with average rooms and facilities charging slightly above average prices especially for out of season. However the food, staff and location to the seafront are very good.

    Superb

Our 3 night stay was cut short to just the one night after a death in the family. However, in that one day, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. They went out of their way to welcome us. Our room was lovely and cosy, more of a homely feel than a hotel which we loved! We paid extra for a sea view room and it was worth it, waking up to clear blue skies and a quiet seafront. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the pier which makes it the perfect location!

The only issue we had was the floor in the bedroom, it was covered in hair as if it had never been hoovered. Me and my husband didn't like to walk around barefoot because of the state of the carpet but this was the only negative we experienced!

    Good

Breakfast was lovely, service was excellent

We booked a superior room, we wasn't confident it was a superior room, it was old, tired and in need of serious refurbishment, bar was expensive. It was not worth £75, it was more like a bed and breakfast, no radio alarm, no biscuits in the room, not enough teabags, no hot chocolate, Tv was a tiny portable on the dressing table, headboard loose on bed, big iron mark on carpets, do I need to go on.

    Exclusive

We had a superior double room. I loved the wonderful sea view! The room was comfortable, lovely bed. My husband really appreciated the free wi fi which was fast and available in the bar as well as our bedroom. We ate in the restaurant the first night and there was a really good choice and even my husband who is a big eater thought the food was plentiful and very tasty. The breakfast was included in the room rate and there was everything you could want including a vegetarian version of the full english which i really appreciated. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was service with a smile all the way. We often visit Great Yarmouth for a weekend break and we will definitely be back to The Kensington!

    Fabulous

the staff were all very polite, they always had a smile and were more than happy to help. i enjoyed my stay. thankyou

the bathroom was my only fault. i would have liked a large bath towel, and flannel, and somewhere to put my toothbrush and toothpaste. maybe a small shelf above the sink?

    Fabulous

The view, facilities, decor and character of the Kensington were all very good, and the proximity to the town centre was just right.

Poor water pressure in the shower, and poor wifi access in our room.

    Fabulous

Location is straight on a beach. The hotel has small, however nice outdoor patio area with chairs and tables facing the beach, I enjoyed it. Their restaurant is large and well presented, breakfast was served quickly and was good. I stayed in a single room and it was fairly large, very light, decorated in a simple but pleasant and relaxing way, and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very big and very clean. Internet was fast. Plenty of parking. Staff was friendly and caring.

I could hear every movement of everyone in a corridor and adjacent rooms as well as from upper floor. The handle on a bathroom door was falling out. I did not like the corridor leading to my room as it was too narrow.

the room was clean and staff friendly, it is in a good possition on the sea front

the breakfast was small and the tomato was shrivelled up like it had been under the grill for a week, had to ask for more coffee as no pot on table and no one offered, superior room was very small and shower and toilet room tiny, but the room did have a very nice view of the sea
